Storck history & experiencing nature
For many years, Landgut Stober has also been a place for white storks. After the nest had remained empty for some time in the early 2020s, the stork pair has since returned.
For the past three years, we have once again been observing the birds regularly on the grounds of Landgut Stober. Last year, eggs were spotted in the nest and incubated, but no chicks hatched. In 2023, however, two young storks were successfully raised.
All the more wonderful, then, to be able to follow the current developments step by step once again.
The return of the storks is more than just a natural event for us. It represents the interplay between landscape, habitat, and a conscious use of resources.
Landgut Stober sees itself as a place where nature is not only visible, but can be experienced – quietly, respectfully, and without interference.
We invite you to check back regularly to follow the development in the nest and accompany the storks over the coming weeks. In doing so, observation becomes an understanding of natural connections.
