Product presentations in the Berlin area
The authentically refurbished Landgut Stober is the perfect setting:
e.g. for presenting cars, garden fairs, showing innovative products, selling local products or introducing new food products.
The name of Borsig stands for innovation, attesting to its hundreds of patents. Architecture inspired by Schinkel provides the basis for the Borsig buildings, which are as famous as their architects: Strack, Persius, Schmohl, Reimer & Körte. Borsig is remembered as the father of mobility. Borsig's engineering company was Europe's largest railway machinery and locomotive manufacturer.
Alexander von Humboldt associated Borsig with more than just the joy of nature. Peter Josef Lenné, the great landscape artist and park designer, lent the park on the Borsig estate in Moabit its stunning horticulture. Borsig's engineering company was the first company to have its own swimming baths. The first extensive company social system was introduced here.
The company's agricultural property in Groß Behnitz, today Landgut Stober, supplied its factories with food grown on the land. The stables were built in 1866 (air-conditioned using biomass) and the farm was only irrigated in so far as the excess water flowed back into the lake. Dr Ernst von Borsig jun., an expert in forestry and agriculture, joined the Kreisau Circle, which was the largest resistance movement against Hitler and the Nazis.
