Salon Lilli - 42 m2

Salon Lilli on the first floor of the granary is ideal for small conferences, seminars or workshops. A waxed industrial concrete floor, an open wood and glass construction with historical mechanics give the room its particularly inspiring atmosphere. A permanently installed projector with USB interface and a permanently installed screen ensure a smooth, quick start to work. Salon Lilli is next to the Salons Margret and Annelise.

The salon is named after "Lilli" Elisabeth Anna Louise (1885-1976), famous art historian and painter, second child and only daughter of Margarethe Louise Mathilde Martius, née Borsig, and Anton Ludwig Gottfried Martius. She grew up with her three brothers, Georg Feodor Albert (born 1884) who became a German diplomat, Siegfried Götz Ernst (born 1887) and Hans Konrad Götz (born 1891). We owe the curator of the Kieler Kunsthalle the description of the "Villa Borsig in Moabit" built by the architect Heinrich Strack with the picture cycle by the painter Paul Meyerheim and a text about "The buildings of the Borsig family". Her memories offer valuable characterizations of her grandmother Anna.
