Salon Arnold - 167 m2

The Arnold salon on the first floor of the Rinderstall is located between the Ernst and Conrad salons and can be combined with both the Conrad salon and the Ernst salon. It therefore offers the ideal setting for exclusive meetings and conferences of all sizes. This room has plenty of daylight horizontally and vertically and can still be blacked out. Wireless Internet and the latest technical equipment round off the facilities. A supply and exhaust air system with heat recovery, as well as a wood chip heating system, fed from our own forest, ensure an ecologically correct ambience.

The salon is named after Arnold August Paul Borsig (1867-1897), when his father August Julius Albert Borsig died, he was just 11 years old. He studied mining & metallurgy (mining engineer). After graduating, he turned primarily to mining practice. In 1893 he moved to Upper Silesia to work in the Borsig works there. In 1894 he became the head of the Borsigwerker administration and began there with great energy and prudence, a thorough improvement and expansion, first of the mining operations and then partly the creation of new plants in the smelting works. Arnold Borsig died in a mine accident with a gas explosion and was buried next to his father in the Groß Behnitz cemetery.
